Our Mission
Our mission is to care for Lebanon, Virginia’s feral cat colonies through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming whenever possible. We support colony caregivers, educate the public, and collaborate with partners to offer low-cost spay/neuter events, working toward a healthier and more sustainable future for community cats.
If you’d like to join us, check out our “Projects” page, or contact us (details below). Whatever form your assistance takes (volunteerism or a financial donation, or both), we’d be honored to have you with us!

Vision
CLAWS envisions a community where every cat — owned, stray, or feral — lives free from suffering, where people and animals coexist safely and humanely, and where compassion, education, and responsible care are the foundation of how Lebanon approaches its feline population. We see a future where: community cats are managed through effective Trap-Neuter-Return and vaccinated for public health, caregivers are supported rather than judged, shelters and veterinarians work hand-in-hand with volunteers, and no cat is abandoned, ignored, or treated as disposable. Our long-term vision is a stable, healthy, well-cared-for community cat population — and a town that is proud of how humanely it treats its most vulnerable animals.
